 CORPORATE POSITION STATEMENT

GENETICALLY MODIFIED INGREDIENTS - LABELLING 


· Britvic Soft Drinks complies with all EC labelling regulations including 
those concerning the labelling of genetically modified ingredients.

· The EC has produced regulations requiring that food and ingredients produced 
in whole or part from genetically modified soya or maize must be labelled, however 
the regulations do not apply to food additives, flavourings or extraction solvents.

· Britvic does not use genetically modified soya or maize in any of its products.

· Britvic uses ingredients that may be derived from genetically modified maize, 
however as neither protein nor DNA resulting from genetic modification are detectable,
labelling regulations do not apply.
