CALL TO ACTION AGAINST FRANKENFOODS!!

SPEAK OUT AGAINST BIOTECHNOLOGY AND POLICE BRUTALITY. 
A CANDLELIGHT VIGIL AND MARCH TO THE CONFERENCE SITE MAY FOLLOW.  

**Bring candles, drums/noisemakers for the Infernal Noise Brigade, signs,
banners and puppets for the procession. Be creative! Let's raise our voices
against Repression!!!

MONDAY AUGUST 21. 12 Noon. RALLY AT THE CONFERENCE SITE/AUTONOMOUS ACTIONS. 

With signs, banners, puppets, voices, drums, horns and our imaginations,
let's make some noise over genetic engineering and what it's doing to our planet!!

The people of Mpls/St.Paul must come together to oppose the biotech
industry and the repression waged on activists attempting to STOP this
heinous industry. We are united on these basic principles:

1.  We oppose the genetic manipulation of plants and animals.
2.  We oppose the marketing of genetically engineered food to an unknowing 
    public.  We demand that they be removed from our grocery store shelves and
    a moratorium placed on new ones.
3.  We stand united in opposition to capitalism and corporate exploitation, 
    which is the underlying motive for these manipulations.
4.  We recognize that food is not a commodity to be genetically modified, 
    patented, and distributed to the highest bidder, and that the food 
    "crisis" is a direct result of that commodification.
5.  We oppose the repression of activists by the city of Minneapolis and the 
    open attacks being waged by the MPD on other members of the community.
6.  We are not afraid to raise our voices against these acts of oppression! 
7.  We recognize the inherent problems of globalization, and we believe that 
    many of our issues are one and the same in that larger fight.  We cannot
continue to allow the basic decisions of our life to be decided by
corporations that have no vested interest other than the bottom line.

Join us in our efforts to keep corporations from controlling the foods that
sustain our lives.
