The file contains 11 fields whose names and descriptions are shown below. The field length, provided in parentheses, should be used to define the widths of fields or cells into which you are importing this data. NOTE : You may need to rename the WORLDBAS.CSV file to WORLDBAS.TXT or WORLDBAS.SDF to be recognised by your database or spreadsheet. 1. Country Name - Name of Country (40 characters) 2. Phone Code - International telephone dialling code (8 characters) 3. ISO 3166 Country Code - 2 character country code defined by International Standards Organisation (3 characters) 4. Car Code - Letters used on car 'oval' plate - This data is largely incomplete (3 characters) 5. Capital - Capital City or Chief Town (40 characters) 6. Currency - Name of main currency (40 characters) 7. ISO Currency Code - 3 character code defined by International Standards Organisation (6 characters) 8. Digraph - 2 character code defined by US National Bureau of Standards and maintained by the Office of the Geographer (4 characters) 9. ICAO Code - Aircraft registration prefix defined by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (6 characters) 10. Language - Main language spoken (40 characters) 11.
