Shugborough Hall


The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail mentions a monument at Shugborough Hall, Staffordshire, England, which reproduces Nicolas Poussin's Les Bergers d'Arcadie (also known as Et in Arcadia Ego) in mirror image. The following two pictures show the monument in situ, in the gardens at Shugborough Hall, as well as a close up of the 'picture' area. The building of this monument was commissioned by Admiral Lord Anson in the 18th century.
