SMSAlert is a command line driven application which runs under DOS,
Windows 3.x and Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/2003. It allows sending of a short
message via dial up to any SMS enabled GSM phone or Pager.
SMSAlert may be called directly from an icon or command line, or via any other application program, as
SMSALERT provider_name "Message" destination_number
For example :
SMSALERT Vodafone "Database server is down" 44468123456
(will send the network management system alert message to the
Vodafone UK subscriber on 44468123456)
SMSALERT Orange "Stock for ticker XYZ is 9.1" 12345679
(will send the stock price message to the Orange subscriber
SMSAlert is typically incorporated into network management, helpdesk and other
applications where a single short message needs to be sent infrequently
to one or more personnel - for sending large numbers of SMS messages, we
recommend the use of the Connectotel SMSGateWay
or SMSGateWay Duplex
- IBM compatible PC - 386 or greater
- Hayes compatible modem
The SMSAlert software license costs 195 UK pounds (around $300), entitling you
